Search engine optimization

At first glance “title” seems very small things for any website. I have observed that many web development companies are not giving proper title to any web pages. Title tag is one of the most important parts in onsite search engine optimization. Here I will teach you how to write effective search engine friendly title for any webpage as it is one of the most important part of onsite SEO techniques.

Step 1.
Do proper keyword research and make group of 4-5 keyword phrases for each page. This is called keyword grouping, in which keywords are distributed according to relevancy and competition of the keywords in search engines.

Step 2.
Once keyword grouping is done, ask your content writer to write content by targeting those keywords. Once content is ready, do content optimization (I will post article for content optimization in next few days).

Step 3.
Title writing will start once content optimization is done for particular page. Let’s say page is about jobs for IT engineer in India and targeted keywords are…

Asp.net programmer jobs
Php programmer jobs
Java programmer jobs
SEO expert jobs

By targeting above four technical jobs related keywords title should written as…

Asp.net, Php, Java programmer and SEO expert jobs for IT engineer in India | Websitename

After reviewing above title many questions may raise in your mind like…

Is there any specific format to write title?
Ans. No, there is no specific format to write title for any page. Title should contain keywords which are covered in content on that page and it should describe what the page is about.

Can we put only targeted keywords rather than descriptive sentence?
Ans. Yes you can put only targeted keywords but as per my experience I will not recommend to put only keywords. It will look like spamming and not professional. Let me explain how…

Search engine will list only 10 website in one page, now whenever a person search for any query he/she will click only on single site listed in that page. Now our aim is to attract those visitors to click on our link. If we provide description title than click through rate will increase.

What is the recommended length of title tag?
Ans. Google will display only 65 characters with spaces in search engine result. Still we can write title containing 75 to 85 characters. Try to cover most important keywords at the beginning of your title.

Many SEO related questions may raised in your mind but it is not possible to cover all stuff here. You can ask any doubt regarding to SEO related topics by drop comment here or write me an email at info(at)eltalearning.com
