Hot Tech Gifts for Christmas

The OEM Shop - 80% Off All Cellular AccessoriesEvery year there is always a list of popular toys for children at Christmas, but there is also always a top list of gadgets and other fun Technology items for Christmas Gift. Everyone knows atleast one person who loves technology, and usually they decide to give that person some sort of technology gift. So what should you get for that sort of person? It depends greatly on your price range in most cases. It is always important to research before you buy, that way you ensure paying a fair price!

Perhaps the most wanted tech item of the season, the Apple iPhone. The iPhone is still in high demand nearly everywhere, and as a result it may be difficult to even get a hold of one this Christmas. Another one of the most desired Technology items this Christmas is still the Nintendo Wii. The Wii came out just before Thanksgiving of 2006 and it is still nearly impossible to find one on store shelves. The Wii is not only popular among children, there are many older techies who would love to get a Wii this Christmas, good luck to those of you who wish to find either of these items this year!

Perhaps the broadest area of popular gadgets this year is the mp3 player. Of course, the leading name in mp3 players is still the Apple iPod, so it is no surprise that the new iPod Touch, iPod Nano with video, and iPod Classic are all hot items this year. All three are easily found at nearly any electronics retailer but it is likely that they will become more difficult to find as we near Christmas. Other popular choices among mp3 players include the Microsoft Zune, Creative Zen, SanDisk Sansa, and thousands of others. Each mp3 player has its own features, its own positives and negatives, and most importantly, each mp3 player comes with its own price tag.

Another top tech category this year is cameras. Cameras are always a hot item at Christmas because, face it, everyone loves to take pictures and record movies. Cameras are also one of the most difficult categories to make an educated purchase in. Often times when you plan to browse the camera selection at your favorite electronics store a store employee will come up to you to “help” you find what you are looking for. Not surprisingly, they are really helping you find what they want you to buy. Because cameras are so complicated and difficult to understand for even techies, the employee is likely to sell a more expensive camera because it is “better” though in reality the only difference might be a few extra features that the shopper has no need for. Obviously, the first thing you want to know before you go shopping is what type of camera you want. If you are shopping for a still camera ONLY buy a still camera, no matter what the salesman tries to sell you. Other than that you just need to do your research before you go shopping that way you can make sure you get what you need, and at a fair price!
