My Worst Shopping Experience with ChinaBuye.com

Buying product from ChinaBuye.com is my worst shopping experience who yet to ship my product after 8 months. I will discuss more in details before I share how I choose chinabuye after doing lots of research over internet.

Being an online marketing professional; I prefer buying online and I always follow below steps before choosing my online vendor:

  • Since how long they are into business
  • Current website status and their usability
  • Most important part; their reviews (search for chinabuye reviews in Google and you will find many positive reviews)
  • Price comparison

Now you must be wondering how they are having average ratings of 8.7 at ResellerRatings.com ???

Let’ begin with my worst shopping experience with ChinaBuye.com

By considering their overall ratings I thought to try their service and placed 2 orders one of $1 and another of $8 on 30th April 2011 and luckily I received $1 order in 30 days. Now I started waiting for another order for next 30 days (total 60 days) and raise a ticket on 15th June 2011. Here is some portion of communication between me and their customer support.

They told me to wait as the product was shipped but misplaced or had some issue; by considering their request I again waited for few days and ask for updates in August 2011 (its been 5 months I placed order). Surprisingly, they asked me to order another product so that they can resend old one with new order!!! (Nice trick to trap customers for more orders).

I refused to place one more order and asked for refund but they did not refund my payment. I tried to raise dispute in Paypal but my order was already 5 months old and I could not raise the refund complain in paypal.

I tried to contact their sales personnel but the answer was same “we already shipped product and we cannot refund”. Here is my last communication by tickets on ChinaBuye.com on 10th November 2011 (Yes 8 months but no product delivered).

I did everything that I can do to make them aware of my situation using twitter, facebook and other medium but I neither got refund nor my product.

Here there is no value of $8 but my worst chinabuye.com buying experience will definitely help you to take the decision and will save your big amount.

I did lots of research on how they are getting good reviews and faking customers online. Here are few outcomes:

  • I have a doubt about reviews posted on ResellerRatings.com as when i shared my negative review, the frequency of positive review were suddenly increased !!! How? Did they got happy customers withing 2 days? or they want my review to hide under positive reviews?? This is still mystery for me :( . This is big question on credibility of premium review website like ResellerRatings.com.
  • They own various twitter profile like @ChinaBuye, @chinabuyesale where they are attracting customers by sharing cheap promotional offers.
  • They own facebook fan page named: http://www.facebook.com/ChinaBuye (cheap gadgets in the world !!! ). Very funny, Chinabuye.com – you can sell them at free of cost

I am sure many people around net got scammed from ChinaBuye.com and I really encourage you all to share your experience in comments. This will help other people to know the real scenario of ChinaBuye.com

    Thank you for quick reply Joyce, being a part of online marketing industry i always respect the reviews posted on resellerratings. In-fact i also prefer your services for my clients. Here the big learning lesson which ChinaBuye.com taught us is..all reviews are not from loyal customers, they may post fake reviews too.

    I really appreciate you took steps to investigate their reviews, i hope you will share your updates of investigation.

    You are talking about Chinaubuye.com, even Letsbuy.com runs pathetic services, i just ordered a micro-SD card on 1st December of 2011 and after delivering several emails they send me a mail on 25th stating that my order is lost in the middle. They further told me they’ll re-ship that order in upcoming days , but i asked for refund and Whoa! they said it’ll be refunded in 21 days…That’s the way they trap user and their money…

    I am sorry to hear about your experience with Letsbuy.com, as i said earlier; all customers are not come on front to share their worst experience publicly. If you share your experience in public, online sellers like chinabuye and Letsbuy will start improving their services or atleast treat their customers properly.

    Hope you got your refund (i did not get refund too :( )

    Thanks Ritesh, Here i am not against online buying. There are many loyal seller who are very loyal to their customers. I am sure there are many people around net who bought from chinabuye.com and may be satisfied with what they got from them.

    Here there is no point of my $8 as i can make more money in time which i spent in writing their reviews and sharing them over social media. But here the point is their loyalty. They keep giving excuses since 8 months !! i think, you will not find single customer who waited for 8 months to ship their product.

    I bought 3.0″ TFT12MP Digital Camcorder with Solar Panel Black DVT90 I used it once.The charger didn’t work and the Tft went black.I sent it back to Chinabuye after 10 days.Instead of Changing it or Refund the money.as stated in the condition they repaired it. Two months passed and they ask me to pay the postage again to send it back to me. I complained and said that Condition No 11 said otherwise they reduced the postage to $6.00. I had to pay otherwise I would not have received my camcorder back. So it ended up that for this Rubbish DVT90 I had to pay $ 91. DON’T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM

    I have been ordering from chinabuye and dealextreme for some time now and never experienced problems (yet)
    The delivery time is always between 15 and 25 days.
    I once ordered a security camera, they shipped me the wrong one. They offered me to keep the one I received and still get the one I wanted for half price. To me that was a good deal as I really do not want to ship anything back to china. The wrong camera was easily sold on ebay. Also if you buy something from china you can expect it to be of lesser quality then something from europe. But this is already what I expect. Thats why it is so cheap……

    I am happy to find first comment of Chinabuye customer who is happy with their offering. I understand the quality aspect which as you will always get what you pay for.

    Here the question is integrity of people running business, if you have read my full article you must understand the lever of my frustration. I waited for more than 8 months publishing this article. They never shipped my product nor refund my money, being an online marketing guy; i know how to share this experience and i did what i find best way to help other people who search for chinabuye reviews.

    Even i have shopped with this site and continuously doing the same. I Have ordered around 24 products and in that 1 product got stuck as you had posted but however it did not take as long time as yours and got rectified in 3 months.

    I have personally talked some of the staff personals what had happened and etc… Such a long time it takes is because even they have to trace where it has gone wrong, there are many bad people in the world too who try to get multiple items with one shopping, so chinabuye also has to track it and if someone has opted for AirMail then its almost impossible to trace it, even then the staffs try their best in doing so, they have spent money from their pocket just to get my product to keep up their reputation.

    I surely understand your situation, I have been through it myself but later I realised that it was not their fault too, they handle huge amount of transaction everyday so humans do commit mistakes right ? just its our bad luck that they committed mistake on our orders.

    At the end, I would not say they are bad site it was just a bad time thats all.

    I placed an order on China Buye and didn’t receive my complete order. After multiple emails back and forth I still have not received my missing items. I will not be using this website again.

    hi sorry for your experience. my advise to new buyers is to use dhl for their product delivery because using the free shipping may get your items lost. and it will take almost 1 month to get to u. i always use dhl to get my delivery within 8days. i have not had any problem with chinabuye since i started using them. i plan to make another purchase next week. so avoid free shipping if you can because they will not ship only your own item for free.

    I’m from Switzerland and i still waiting for my money/paypal refund since x-weeks. They send my mail for new items and free gifts, but nobody did the refund on my paypal account.

    If i ask for refund, they answer like “your item is on stock now. please answer asap that we could ship your order..”

    I used DX,FP or Priceangels for a lot of orders. i never had any problems. But chinabuye is a big fake!

    I’m sure they advised their employees to write good reviews on the internet. A BIB FAKE THIS COMPANY!

    I hope you will get your money back! Fight for your right :-)

    I have been buying from chinabuye for awhile now… Their products aren’t too bad and usually they replace or refund a faulty item.. Postage is done by canoe i think cause it takes ages to get youre item.. Never pay extra to get youre item faster they take 5 days to process item before mailing so you are better off putting in the canoe it takes a week longer and is free… Very slow to respond to emails and a bit of a nightmare when you have a faulty item because you find yourself repeating youre problem to them over and over… I just write the same thing 5 times over in the same email.. They are frustrating to communicate with… Most of the items i have received have been good.. I still buy from them but cheap is cheap remember that

Here i am respectfully disagree with you that Chinabuye is give refund or replace (here i did not receive my product yet). If is it so; they might have refund what i paid to buy my product.

    If you are running online business whether your product is cheap or costly, whether you are offering vast range or small range. Your loyalty plays an important role. Being a customer why should i compromise with the services, i am expecting what they are offering on website and i should not let it just because their product is cheap. People should know what type of dirty game this Chinabuye people are playing and i am happy to write ChinaBuye Review to share this game with my blog readers.

The second order? 30 days later was still stuck in processing status and they were unable to provide me with a tracking number. I had to file a dispute with PayPal to get my money returned.

    My son had the same issue. Placed the first order, received it promptly. Order #2? It went missing. Today, we had to open a PayPal dispute. My sister ALSO had the same issue. 1st order promptly shipped – 2nd order? They claim it was shipped, but 30 days later, she still does not have it. A PayPal dispute has been opened in her case now, too.

    Chinabuye, you have some serious work to do to resolve your customer service issues. I can assure you that I will NEVER recommend your site to anyone ever again.

    To tell you the truth I have purchased a lot of stuff from Chinabuye from led headlights, led lamps, microchips to 2 Android tablets. I cannot say I have had a problem with getting any item I purchased.

    So it is mortifying to read other peoples experience but even big companies can have their problems. Do I have a story about 2 Degrees.

    All they orders come late, and if they go past the date when you can reclaim your money back from PayPal, they don’t care about your order anymore. They ask you more money to resend the order. Never buy from them!

    I ordered something from Chinabuye in October 2012 and wrote to them after 2 months to say I have still not received my order. They told me to wait for 2 more weeks which I did and still the order did not arrive. They said they cannot trace it and offered to refund me 50%. This is my first time ordering from this company and my order goes missing! I’ve ordered from other online companies from China and always have received my orders. Sure leaves a bad taste in my mouth!

    I bought a single 3W LED bulb from ChinaBuye. It was about 3 USD and no shipping costs. It arrived at my house and works fine. Not sure exactly how long it took to get here because I was out of town for a few weeks. But from my one small experience with them I had no problem. Plus the bulb cost about 90% less than it would at a store in Canada where I live so I will probably try them out again.
