If there’s one thing that’s truer now than ever before, it’s the fact that no one person in this globalized, hyper-competitive economy can afford to stop learning. Aside from learning new skills for professional purposes, learning even after you’ve finished with your formal schooling infuses life with meaning that you may find lacking in your job or social circle. Here are a few tips for continued learning using 21st century technology.

1. Explore open courseware offered through many universities.

The Internet is the greatest thing that’s happened to life-long learners since the advent of public libraries. Now that so many universities are offering online courses and lectures for free, you can learn from preeminent experts in all fields from the comfort of your own home without spending a dime. Some of the better-known open courses are offered through Stanford University, MIT, and Harvard University.

2. Get an e-reader or tablet and reacquaint yourself with the wonderful world of books.

When we finish school, most adults often stop reading altogether. Having so many responsibilities and demands for our time, browsing through a bookstore or library is simply not always possible. Now, however, tools like the Nook, the iPad, or the Kindle give busy adults the ability to access books and browse books instantly. There can be no learning without reading, so go out and find yourself a tablet or e-reader and start learning! Most options are relatively inexpensive and can provide thousands of pages of information at your fingertips.

3. Play educational games to keep your mind sharp.

With the burgeoning popularity of smartphones and tablets, the number of games available has become tremendous. While most people think that online games are a waste of time, there are many game apps out there that help you with your quest to continue learning. Some of my personal favorites are Words with Friends, a game similar to Scrabble, and Wiki Golf, a fun, Wikipedia-based game that requires you to connect your knowledge of seemingly incongruous topics and ideas.

4. Learn a new technology-related skill.

Even if technology doesn’t particularly interest you, it’s important to learn about the tools that could help further your personal and professional goals. For those of you who are not particularly tech-savvy, learning a tech skill, like Photoshop, HTML, or Java, can give you an incredible sense of accomplishment. The great thing about learning such skills is that you can easily learn for free using online tools. Here’s a great site to get you started, which includes tutorials for beginners as well as advanced web developers.

Electronic goods need to be handled with extra care and caution while moving. The packing supplies used for wrapping up electronic and fragile goods are also different. There is no dearth of removalists in Sydney, who would shoulder the responsibility of transporting your electronic goods to your new home or office.

These days, we are entirely dependent on electronic goods and cannot expect a life without them. Be it a commercial relocation or a residential one, we need to move electronic goods with utter caution, especially while packing these fragile things.

Most of the electronic appliances are temperature sensitive; a mild change in external temperature may affect their working. Due to their sensitivity, it has become imperative that special attention must be paid while these costly items are being packed for transportation. Following things should be taken into consideration while packing and moving with these electronic goods.

Pack in original cartons

The original cartons, which can be bought from the manufacturers, are custom made for each appliance. It is better not to dispose the original cartons, in which these fragile items arrive, as prove to be really useful at the time of relocation. Pack a computer in its original casing. The cables and adapters must be packed separately. It is really difficult to pack printers as they are vulnerable to damage. Make sure to remove the ink cartridges before you pack up the printer.

Use quality packing material

Lack of good quality packing material can make your goods vulnerable to misplacement, damage, dust or moisture. If you are moving your electronic goods overseas, then it becomes really important that you hire reputed removalists for packing your goods with care. These removal companies take care that your costly items are packed in customized containers, so that they may reach the destination in perfect condition. Special crafted wooden crates must be used for transporting goods of great value.

Label the boxes well

While packing electronic goods, make sure that you label the boxes well, so that the movers could identify the very boxes which contain fragile items. While packing music systems, make sure to take out the DVDs and CDs from them. It is always better to mark such boxes clearly with ‘fragile’, so that the ones helping you move must know its contents.

Pack flat-screens and monitors very carefully and dissemble these goods from their stands for easing the packing process. Use bubble wrap while packing screens to avoid any scratching or breakage.

About the Author:

Author has been associated with removalist in Sydney from a long time. Presently with his vast experience, He is helping people in choosing the best service provider for them for their safe and hassle free move.

NO. We are still looted by our so called leaders who are busy in making millions in their Swiss bank account. Today, we are celebrating Independence Day but corruption, economic challenges and 100s of other serious issues that cannot be ignored at this stage.

When Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh ascends the ramparts of Old Delhi’s Red Fort on Monday to address the nation on the 64th anniversary of its independence, it will be as a political leader whose government, party, and personal reputation are seriously bruised. This will be Singh’s seventh Independence Day address since becoming prime minister in 2004.

On this day, I am asking a simple question on behalf of our 1.21 billion people of India. People listed bellowed, will really get punishment?

- Suresh Kalmadi (Commonwealth Games Corruption )

- Adarsh Housing Society Scam Accuse

- A.Raja and his supporters (2G Spectrum Scam)

- Black money in Swiss bank etc…

There is a huge list of such scam against which Government should take strict action.

Dear Mr. Prime Minister, please give reply of this simple question…we are waiting!!

Happy Independence Day!!!! Jay Hind!!

The semester seems eternal. It’s a collection of courses and dissertations, the lengthy lectures and reviews. There will never be an end to it, you believe. There will never be a day without opinions volleyed about the classroom.

But such belief will eventually be proven wrong. The year will shift; a diploma will be earned; and you will be told to finally face the world, to conquer capitalism.

You’re a little horrified.

You shouldn’t be, however. There are ways to ease the transition, to create a life that is precisely what you wish it to be. A career can be achieved — you must simply begin searching for it now; and you must use social media to do this.

Social media offers you the rare connections: you can explore companies, employers and job opportunities, forging relationships and learning experience. It’s an advantage you can’t deny.

Consider:

AfterCollege Answers

Your senior year is frantic, filled to the credit chases and exams. Spare a moment, however, to visit AfterCollege. This networking site offers students the chance to contact potential employers, trade their resumes with other users, discover internship positions and more. It’s dedicated to business connections and graduates will be alerted to all of the latest changes in the industries of their choice.

Alumni Analyzed

Few things can shape an interview more than the referrals you offer. Employers are seeking sterling recommendations; and achieving these can be difficult. Alumni Central helps to make the process simpler, though. This massive social site allows students to seek out professors, peers and more — with online tools used to craft referrals. Ask for aid from your instructors without having to track them down on campus. Receive instant rewards.

CoolWorks, Quick Pay

You’re not quite ready to grow up. Maturity is a lifelong obligation, and you want the summer to simply indulge your passions. Such indulgence still requires cash, though. You will need a job (even if it’s only a temporary one). Look then to CoolWorks: a media site that offers postings, bulletins and blogs of seasonal careers. You can find a position that isn’t permanent but is interesting. Speak with employers from across the country and discover new adventures.

USA Security

There will come a time, you know, when you must seek stability. You’ll want more than the week to week standards and meager income. You’ll instead want a career. A government position therefore appeals. USA Student Jobs allows you to find federal employment opportunities — offering positions, corporate connections and volunteer chances. Use innovative search features to learn all you must. It’s a streamlined social network that will provide quick results.

There is one certainty of an education: it must eventually end. No classes can simply continue. No professors can always offer guidance. You will one day be forced to stand alone — and that day is rapidly approaching.

It is essential therefore to utilize social media now. Take time to understand your desires and see what can be achieved. Interact with potential employers and gain relationships that may prove useful later. And allow yourself to plan for the future rather than fearing it.

It’s been 63 years we got freedom from British Empire and we are proudly celebrating 15th August every year and giving honor to our freedom fighter, and we are proud of our ancient culture and our history.

Jaha dal dal par sone ki chidiya karti hai basera who bharat desh hai mera

This is one of the famous patriot song we proudly sing. But when I hear this song, there are few question always arise in my mind.

Why we always proud of our history and past?

Why we are not proud of our current culture and situation?

I admit that, our country is really great but the current situation is really stunning. Political parties are busy in earning votes, business man are busy in earning money while common man is busy in earning “Do waqt ki roti”.

Do we proud of the current political situation where our leaders are fighting in parliament?

Do we proud of the corruption? Which is unavoidable part of each government department?

No, I am not proud of current political situation of our country where leaders are corrupted. The best example of corruption can be found in Commonwealth Game 2010 that will be held in Delhi. See this news article.

I found various people complaining about current situation like me, but I did not find a single person who took any action to make this country corruption free. By writing this article, I am trying my best to spread the message to all Indians who are against this system and request them to take small steps for our country, for our pride and for our great history.

Share your thoughts about current situations and what can be done to reduce such (commonwealth corruption) national shame in the future?

Jay Hind…
